How does the credit system work?
Each stencil generation costs 1 credit. You can purchase credit packs from our pricing page. Credits are added to your account instantly after purchase and can be used anytime.
Do credits expire?
No. There are no subscriptions — you only pay for what you use. Credits never expire and remain in your account until you use them.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for unused credit purchases can be requested within 14 days by contacting support.instastencil@pexil.it. If a generation fails due to a technical error on our side, we'll restore the credit to your account.
My stencil didn't turn out well. What can I do?
You can use the retry feature to regenerate the stencil. Retry credits are included with your purchases (2 retries per 10 credits) and accumulate in your account. Retries don't consume regular credits.
Why did my generation fail?
Images featuring copyrighted or fictional characters, celebrities, or content from movies are not supported. These restrictions help ensure fair use and respect copyright laws. If a generation fails because of safety filters, no credit will be consumed. Try again or use a different image.
Can I use the stencils commercially?
Yes. You retain full rights to your generated stencils and can use them for personal and commercial purposes, including tattoo application on clients.
What browsers are supported?
InstaStencil works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. The app is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
What image formats can I upload?
You can upload any common image format including JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and more. The app accepts most standard image files.
What resolution are the exported stencils?
Stencils are exported in PNG format at approximately 1K resolution (around 1000px on the longest side), optimized for thermal transfer printing.
